Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

octobetiQ ("we", "our", or "the app") is an information-only sports prediction service. This policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights. We do not sell your personal information.

2. Data we collect

• Account: email address and a hashed password when you register.
• Usage: games and predictions you view, favorites, leagues, challenges, and leaderboard activity to personalize the app and show accuracy stats.
• Purchases: subscription tier and purchase history via Apple App Store (RevenueCat) and/or Stripe on the web.
• Push notifications: device push token when you enable notifications in Settings.
• Advertising (free tier): on supported builds we show ads through Google AdMob. If you allow App Tracking Transparency (ATT) on iOS, AdMob may use your device advertising identifier (IDFA) for ad delivery and measurement. If you deny tracking, ads may still appear using non-tracking identifiers.
• Technical: server logs and error information to operate and improve the service.

3. How we use your data

We use data to: provide and personalize the app; manage subscriptions and usage limits; send push notifications you opt into; show ads on the free tier; improve models and product quality; prevent abuse; and comply with law. We do not sell your personal data.

4. Third-party services

• Google (AdMob): advertising and analytics related to ads; may process device/advertising identifiers when permitted.
• Apple: in-app purchases and App Store subscriptions.
• RevenueCat: subscription status and app user ID for entitlements.
• Stripe: web checkout and billing when you subscribe on the web.
• Sports data providers: schedules, teams, and statistics (not your personal profile data).

These providers process data under their own privacy policies and our agreements with them.

5. Tracking

On iOS we may request permission to track across apps and websites (ATT) so AdMob can show more relevant ads and measure performance. You can change this anytime in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Premium subscribers may not see ads depending on plan and build configuration.

6. Data retention

We keep account data while your account is active. You can delete your account in the app under Profile → Delete account, or email support@sportsprediction.com. We remove associated personal data within 30 days of a confirmed deletion request.

7. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, object to or restrict certain processing, and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Contact support@sportsprediction.com to exercise these rights.

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit, hashed passwords, secure token storage) to protect your data. No method of transmission is 100% secure.

9. Children

The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
